A three-day celebration at the Rosewood in Tuscany, where Rachel Birthistle Studio curated a journey of evolving atmospheres. From cellar dinners and countryside feasts to an elegant wedding beneath fabric chandeliers in a bespoke garden greenhouse.
PROJECT BRIEF
Set entirely within the Rosewood estate, this multi-day celebration layered artisanal detail, regional inspiration, and custom-built structures to create a narrative that unfolded across wine cellars, borgo courtyards, and villa gardens.
Hosted entirely at the Rosewood estate in Tuscany, this celebration was designed as a progression of atmosphere and detail over three days. The first evening began with an intimate family dinner in the wine cellar, where the Studio took cues from the surrounding architecture mirroring its warm, earthen palette in florals and tabletop.
The next event, a market night in the cellar gardens, featured food stations hand-painted by a local artist with playful illustrations of the dishes being served. Risotto, charcuterie, and local delicacies became part of the visual narrative.
The following evening, guests gathered for a Tuscan countryside dinner in the borgo. A single, dramatic table stretched beneath a canopy of herbs and greenery. Hand-painted Marie Daage plates illustrated vegetables native to the region, and small bottles of local olive oil doubled as place cards, grounding the experience in place.
The wedding day took place in the castle gardens, followed by dinner in a custom-built greenhouse nestled within the villa gardens. Here, the design shifted to something more refined and restrained.
