Rachel Birthistle Studio orchestrated a week-long wedding celebration in Paris and beyond, culminating in a transformative experience of French grandeur, custom design, and immersive moments across Versailles, the Opéra Garnier, and Château de Villette.
PROJECT BRIEF
The Studio curated and produced a multi-day celebration across Paris and the French countryside, blending historical architecture, bespoke craftsmanship, and world-class entertainment into an unforgettable sequence of meticulously staged events.
This extraordinary celebration began in Paris with tailored bridal experiences: a private dinner at Versailles, accessory-making at Chanel, and sunset cocktails atop the Arc de Triomphe. The welcome event at Rosewood Crillon set the tone: French food, lively ambiance, and a roaming band discovered by the Studio at Coco restaurant.
The rehearsal dinner privatised the Opéra Garnier. Guests arrived through a floral-draped staircase as violinists played. Cocktails were served in the Grand Foyer before a candlelit dinner in the mirrored halls, set with custom Marie Daage plates and tasseled linens inspired by the frescoes. Cedric Grolet’s desserts and signature fruit trees concluded the night.
The wedding unfolded at Château de Villette. The Studio built three bespoke structures: a ceremony pavilion constructed over a fountain, with a vaulted "outdoor cathedral" design and a dramatic aisle running the full length of the château gardens. Dinner was held in a white greenhouse adorned with Murano chandeliers, tiled floors, and entertainment on plinths. A drone show marked the transition to the black greenhouse transformed into a marble-floored nightclub for a Maroon 5 performance, with a 360° bar and a rotating cake installation by Bastien Blanc-Tailleur.
